Unfortunately, Cambodia is a country where child prostitution and trafficking is rampant.

Among the
Family Care Cambodia projects that I visited in
Phnom Penh is a Child Protection Shelter that is home to 35 children, mostly girls, between the ages of 5 - 17, who have been rescued from abusive situations or sexual exploitation.

Thanks to a grant from a British donor, this past year we were able to construct a second story for the shelter that provided 3 additional bedrooms for the children & staff, a classroom, recreation room & toilet facilities. And also provide these kids with an education, including access to their own computer training lab.
